1 Stencil, 3 Cards

Stencils – Moroccan Tile – 6×8 ( SBC ) and Concord and 9th Cuddles and Hugs Die ( SBC )

In today's video tutorial, I am working with ink blending using the new Scrapbook.com Blending Tool. The Ink Blending Tool with Domed Foam Applicators ( SBC ) is brand new and super easy to use. I really love them because the domed foam allows for no harsh lines and these brushes pick up a ton of colour. They are very inexpensive too which is great! Today's video is a part of a video hop to celebrate my friend Ardyth's 3000 YouTube Subscriber Milestone! Three are many prizes to be won!

Throughout all three cards, I used just one stencil, the Stencils – Moroccan Tile – 6×8 ( SBC ). I love the size because it works for 4×6 and 5×7 cards. Another reason I love it is because it allows for a lot of colour to be put down but the negative space leaves a beautiful contrast of white. For each card, I used different dies to finish them off.

When I added the sentiments onto two of the cards, they seemed to get lost so I added a subtle piece of vellum behind them. This way it didn't distract from the background but allowed the sentiment a place of it's own. In the above card, I used The Stamp Market Handwritten Thanks Dies ( SBC ). I love how these layer and allow for a shadow around the sentiment.

This was my favourite mistake! I accidentally stamped the amazing, beautiful, strong stamps from the Scrapbook.com You Are Stamp ( SBC ) directly on the background and my card shifted when I tried to make them darker. So I cut down my background and added it to a white card panel and restamped the sentiments underneath. Much better in the end!
