Welcome to the Heffy Doodle Blog Hop featuring the new Heffy Doodle release. Today is full of inspirational cards to give you tons of ideas on how to use those new HD products! I have two cards for you today, but sadly no video since there sometimes aren't enough hours in the day. But I'll do my best to explain and link to similar technique videos.

For my first card, I created a scene featuring the Big Bug Hogs Stamp, Gnome Matter What Stamp and the Grassy Lass Dies. I used the masking technique to create this card which you can view in this video here and here. I used Eclipse Masking paper and I stamped out all the critters and gnomes onto it. I fussy cut each one and stuck them to my glass mat. I then die cut the grass in masking paper a well.

I created this graphic to show the order of what I threw into the Misti stamping tool. After each layer of stamping, I masked them off using the eclipse paper. In the end, I needed to mask everything – including those flowers and butterfly because I inked the Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass background. This technique is difficult to explain in writing, but I explain it in this video.

Lastly, I coloured my entire image using Copic Markers. I wanted to add various colours but also have those colours appear in different areas of the card to make it look more cohesive.
Markers: B00, B02, B04 N00, N02, N04 RV04, RV17 W00, W1, W3 Y11, Y15, Y17 E000, E00, E11 R05, R08, R27, R29, R37, R59
Prize! The winner who leaves a comment on each stop on the hop will receive a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle store. Winners will be announced on Monday, March 18, 2019 on the Heffy Doodle Blog.

For my next card, it's far more simple. I wanted to stick to the mushroom theme so I used the Dotty Lottie stencil and inked it up using white pigment ink against red cardstock. I love then way it turned out. I then stamped a few of the images and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I die cut the grass and added a sentiment, glued it on the background using foam tape and added the gnomes in behind it.
