12 Ways to Add Gold to Your Cards + 6 Card Ideas!

Today's process video tutorial shows you how you can incorporate gold into your cardmaking. Today I'm using Scrapbook and Cards Today Stamps (they are also a magazine!) as well as several products from my stash. I met the lovely SCT team at Crop and Create here in my hometown and I just had to play with their stamps!

Glimmer Paste and Wire

For this card, I used the Floral Stencil from Gina K Designs and spread Glimmer Paste overtop using a palette knife. I added a sentiment that I created myself using my Happy Jig and some Gold Wire.

Expanding Mousse and Gold Cardstock

This card incorporates the new expanding mousse from Nuvo and Gold Cardstock that I die cut. Paper is of course one of the most simple ways to add gold to your cards.

Gold Embossing Powder, Spray and Washi Tape

Adding some simple spray to a background can really add some colour to your cards – especially those really white, clean and simple ones. Washi tape is a very inexpensive way to add elements to your cards and of course, embossing, just gives you another beautiful way to use your stamps.

Perfect Pearls and Foil

I used the Glimmer Foil System to add a sentiment to this card and perfect pearls with the fun Succulents Stamps. I love how the Perfect Pearls resisted the foil – that was unexpected!

Sequins, Confetti and Glitter Markers

Shaker Cards are my favourite cards to make. They are just so fun to make and really fun to receive. I incorporated gold confetti and sequins and coloured the sentiment using a glitter marker.
