My Top 7 Favourite Background Dies

Today I'm exploring my favourite background dies that make cardmaking super quick and easy! All of these cards took less than 5 minutes (even the ones with blended backgrounds!) and I created 10 cards to show you how awesome these backgrounds turned out!

For these cards, I created two panels using Distress Oxide colours: Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry. I die cut one of them using the Horizontal Cover Up Die and I cut another panel in white. I interchanged the pieces to create two cards. The second panel, I layered behind some vellum for a more subtle look and placed the Stained Glass Coverplate overtop.

This is a super simple card using the Confetti Card background die. This die is very versatile because you can choose to cut the entire panel using confetti or just a border so you have room to add a sentiment.

The two cards on either end used the Right At Home Scallop Stitches Die. This is a fun background that I've used in the past because it cuts out the rectangle for the card panel and cuts the stitches into the cardstock. The centre card features the layering dies from Spellbinders called Layers of Flowers.

The last two cards used 2 dies from Birch Press Designs. This die is the Triangle Prism die and is so beautiful intricate. I cut my panel on a diagonal so that I could add it to the corner of the card and still have lots of white space.

These two use the Triangle Fade dies and cover up the entire background. I went for a monochrome look and matched the background cardstock with the cardstock for the sentiment.
