Seven cardmaking ideas using the Wonderful Florals Stamp Set by Concord & 9th shows off the versatility of this stamp using a variety of mediums: coloured pencils, embossing, copic markers and watercolour. Last month I began making one video per month that features cards that start with beginner techniques all the way to advanced cards towards the ends. A little something for everyone!

This stamp in itself is stunning. It could be stamped in ink onto some cardstock and you could send it on its way to a lucky receiver but I wanted to experiment with different inks and techniques to show you how versatile this stamp is.
I started out with some Kraft cardstock for this card. I stamped the stamp in Versamark ink and covered it with bronze embossing powder. I heated it up and added some twine. Simple as pie!

I took the technique a little further by embossing in white onto blue cardstock and die cutting the whole image. I added it to a white card base and stamped “friend” onto a separate rectangle.
I stamped and embossed this card using Rose Gold embossing powder. I die cut the letters “wonderful” using the die that comes in the bundle. I stamped it with the stripes stamp in the set and attached them with foam tape for some dimension. You can see each card adds something along the way to make the card more complex.
The next card features some watercolour. I stamped the stamp in waterproof Versafine ink. I then created a simple wash in various colours over the card. If you can slide a brush from the left to right and back again, you can do this! I die cut the image and traced the outline onto a white card base. I ran over the traced line with a grey copic marker to create a faux shadow and added some foam tape to give it more dimension.

The second card I created, I embossed the stamp in white to create a barrier between the watercolours and just added in colours to each flower.

If you enjoy colouring, this set is perfect for coloured pencils (left) or copic markers (right). If you're interested in learning to colour, I've learned everything I know so far from Kit and Clowder classes. Be sure to tell Alyce I sent you over when you checkout (there is a box for it).

For the coloured pencils, I decided only to colour some of the main flowers. I kept things very feminine by not adding in any greens. I die cut the stamp and added it to pink cardstock. I also die cut the wonderful letters in silver embossing powders.

This card is the most complex. I copic coloured the image on Neenah cardstock and die cut the wonderful letters out of the image. I added some acetate to the back. I then added some foam tape onto the card base and added in jewels and sequins, put the frame on top and it was finished
