Hi Crafters,
I'm so excited to be a guest designer at Honey Bee today! I don't know about you but I'm always looking for fun birthday card ideas – especially for kids. I was inspired by the name of the Build-a-Bee stamp set because I thought of the Build-a-Bear stores, therefore, I thought it would be a cool idea to have a paper doll style card where a kid can put together and colour their own bees.
For the front of the card, I did a simple wet-to-wet watercolour technique and added two colours of yellow for some extra texture. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment and added a bee to the front of the card. The real magic is actually in the inside.
I created a small envelope using my envelope punch board and added a bunch of pre-stamped images from the Build a Bee set. They even have a coordinating die set which makes them super easy to cut out! Overall I think kids would be super excited by this card, all of the various faces you can stamp on the bees makes this stamp set super versatile. Pairing it up with the Bee-You-Tiful Stamp set just makes this a set that you can make any type of card with.

A big thanks to Honey Bee stamps for having me on their blog today!
