Hi Crafters,
welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas 2016! This is my third year doing the series and it is something I look forward to doing all year. This year I don't exactly have 12 videos (more like 16 or 17) and lots of fun giveaways. If you're dying for more videos right away, you can refresh your memories with the 2015 and 2014 series. Today's card features products from Concord and 9th – a great new company that has beautiful stamps and dies. I used the O Christmas Tree to create this card.

This year, I am inspired by neutral colours and texture for my cards and I thought I would kick off day 1 with a card inspired by my gift wrapping theme this year. Although all my cards will be quite different from each other. I hope you find one you like.

I love changing up the cardstock to see the effect it has on the card itself. I changed between light and dark, neutral, natural tones for these two cards and they turned out great! I used two kinds of paper from My Favorite Things – Kraft and Natural Cardstock. I stamped the trees from the O Christmas Tree set using white pigment ink and after heat setting it, I stamped it slightly off center using Jellybean Green and Cranberry Cocktail.

For embellishments, I added some natural twine and some sparkle to the trees using my Wink of Stella Clear pen and mounted it on a card base.
