Today I am creating 5 different handmade Halloween cards that are spooky and so fun to make! I love halloween and autumn with all the fun colours, cool breezes and rainy weather. It my favourite time of the year to barricade myself in the craftroom. Today I'm doing 5 different background blends using Distress Inks to create Halloween cards. Adding some googly eyes really makes this sentiment stamp pop!

For this card, I blended the Distress colours over the Layering Birch Stencil( SBC | SSS ). I used the colours Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon to create this blend. I stamped overtop using the Fear( RBB ) Stamp from Rubber Art Stamps.
Background #2

For this card, I used the Thousand Years( RBB ) Stamp and the Shade( RBB ) Stamp to make this creepy card – seriously that shade stamp scared me!

Background #3

For this card, I wanted to create a whimsical, purple background that was not a perfect blending job but a really textured look using the Sorceress( RBB ) and Beware( RBB ) Stamps. I made sure to use a heavy hand while blending to get the texture of the sponge onto the card.

Background #4

For this card, I stamped the Trick or Treat( RBB ) stamp. It just fit perfectly into the left bottom corner. I stencilled using a few colours (this stencil has since retired). I used four different colours and after they blended, it looks like a lot more: Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Crushed Olive.

Background #5

This card I posted the other day, so since it ties in well with the video and this post, I decided to add it. I used the Halloween Tree( RBB ) and the Be Scary( RBB ) stamps. I used Crushed Olive, Carved Pumpkin and Wilted Violet.
