sorry for getting all caps-lock happy on you there but I was so excited to see such a great deal from Simon Says Stamp! I hate paying the high shipping costs here to the UK and this is an exciting deal so that we can avoid all that nonsense ;). Anyway onto today's last post on the Organization Series! Embellishments can be a tough one because they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. They are also something crafters generally have a lot of – who can resist that $1 bin at Michaels, sales on sweet enamel dots or Dollar Store grabs?!
Well, when I moved overseas I had to downsize a lot and I discovered that I actually don't need a ton of embellishments for my clean and simple card style. I tend to make a lot of my own by die cutting tiny stars or hearts, making my own enamel dots using Nuvo Drops or simply not using them at all.
Here is my wee little organizer for my embellishments. My enamel dots are in the first compartment, still in their packaging. I store all my sequins together in their original packaging. Washi tape and metal embellishments go togethers. I have my wood/chipboard embellishments in the top write and the last container contains my adhesive backed pearls. I find embellishments can be quite expensive so I like to keep it to a minimum and whatever doesn't fit in this box has to go (except my Tim Holtz chit chat stickers, those just lay on top normally).
