Craftroom Organization 101: Mixed Media

Hi everyone, today I have a short video on how I store my mixed media tools. I pretty much only use mixed media things when I am Art Journaling so I like to keep these containers tucked away. If I feel like art journaling, I just grab my few boxes and get going. This way I have more space in my main area for my main love – cardmaking and when I feel like Art Journaling, my supplies are easily taken out of my cupboard.

I don't think this is a very good storage method if you have tons and tons of mixed media supplies, or if mixed media is “your thing” and you do it all the time. If that is the case, I would suggest having everything in reach above your desk or in side drawers.

In this box, which is the same box I store my stamps in, I just add the lid to it, holds my paints. I keep my Paper Artsy paints, Dylusions Paints and Tim Holtz paints. I recently started dabbling in Art Journaling as a fun way to “craft for myself” and these are the few paints I have collected so far.

In this box, which is the same as my paper box, I can easily lay out my supplies so I can “Grab and Go”. Here I store my Distress Stains, Color Bursts and Tim Holtz tissue paper. I hope you are able to get a few ideas on affordable storage options!
