Card #1: Sprays

How great does the background look with a nice bold black image stamped in the centre. I used Tim Holtz Distress Spray (for the first time) and Peacock Feathers! Beware of finger staining!

Fancy learning how to do this? Check out my video tutorial below that focuses on sprays and stencils and a little bit on the MISTI stamping tool!

Card #2: DIY Stencil

Creating your own stencils can be fun. I learned a few things. Cut a 6×6 piece of cardstock (if you only plan to use once) or a 6×6 piece of acetate (if you want to use it often). Leave the border intact as it will strengthen the stencil.

This stencil was created with die cuts! You could also use your cutting machines.

Card #3: Stamping through Stencils

Stamping through stencils is one of those things I never think of doing. You can get some amazing results using sentiments inside a stencilled image or a background stamp to create a pretty pattern.

I just love the contrast of the pink and black! Don't you?
