Today I am showing a how-to video on 10 ways to use Ranger's Perfect Pearls in paper crafting. I love perfect pearls and they have been in my craftroom for as long as I can remember. Today I am creating Valentine's Day cards using Perfect Pearls techniques but these techniques can be used for any occasion – just switch up the colours and the stamp sets of course 🙂
My first card is very simple and uses the Scrapbook.com XOXO Stamp Set ( SBC ) and Perfect Pearls Pink Gumball ( SBC | ELH | SSS ). I stamped in Versamark ink and spread the powder overtop. Don't forget to mis your card with water to set the powders.
My next card I think is the most elegant of them all. I used Tonic Jet Black Weave Texture Cardstock ( TNC ) and ran it through my die cutting machine with the embossing folder that my Gemini Jr came with. I lightly rubbed Versamark overtop and covered with Perfect Pearls Perfect Gold ( ELH | SSS ). The sentiment was cut using the BP Handwritten Love & Outline Die ( SSS ) out of Harvest Gold Cardstock( SBC | SSS ).
My next card is the one I'm definitely giving to my boyfriend this year! The large I LOVE YOU sentiment is from the SCOM XOXO Stamp Set( SBC ) and the funny sentiment below is from the SCOM My Funny Valentine Stamp( SBC ). I couldn't stop laughing at that one!
On this card, I used the Perfect Pearls as a spray and as watercolours. Mixing the pigment with water can produce some stunning metallic results! This STUNNING Poppy Stamps Graceful Heart Die ( SSS ) was cut out of watercolour paper in order for it to be able to handle the amount of liquid used.
This card uses the ALT Snapdragon Stamp Set ( ELH | SSS ) and I stamped the first layer in Versamark, covered in normal Perfect Pearls Perfect Pearls ( ELH | SSS ), stamped the second layer overtop with versamark which pulls away the colour of the white and added some Pink Gumball overtop.
I applied versamark through the CP Loop Braid Stencil( SBC | CTH ) to create this pretty background on black cardstock. I also added powder to the sentiment to help tie it in – CP Happy X Three Dies ( CTH | SBC | ELH )
For a more mixed-media look, try this fun Perfect Pearls resist technique. Cover a cardstock panel with Versamark Ink and cover with perfect pearls, then stamp overtop with versamark ink and a background stamp like this one Ink Road Subway Art Love( SBC | SSS ).
