Layered Dies

For some reason, I just love metal dies. Sure, I realize there are alternatives out there with electronic machines and digital files. However, there is something about running a die manually through a machine and picking out the different types of paper to layer together, that I just love. Putting together 3D dies, for me, is a mindful activity and I just adore the end result. Today I am creating with the Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set ( ALTN ) and participating in a blog hop celebrating this beautiful set. I don’t know about you but I just love all things layering – stamps, dies, stencils, you name it, I love it! Today I am showing three different card folds while still keeping the rectangle shape of the card. These folds are so much better because these will fit in standard envelopes than other folds that make things very complicated. In today’s video tutorial, I am working with ink blending using the new Scrapbook.com Blending Tool. The Ink Blending Tool with Domed Foam Applicators ( SBC ) is brand new and super easy to use. I really love them because the domed foam allows for no harsh lines and these brushes pick up a ton of colour. They are very inexpensive too which is great! Today’s video is a part of a video hop to celebrate my friend Ardyth’s 3000 YouTube Subscriber Milestone! Three are many prizes to be won!…

Cover plate dies are popping up more and more in my Instagram Stories. I love using them because they create an amazing focal point with little effort. I was so inspired by some cards that Erica made, I had to buy and try out the Falling Circles die by Neat and Tangled. Unfortunately, it has been retired but no worries, I featured many different cover plate dies and I even have some alternatives to the Falling Circles die. Layering & Faux Layering Technique I showed off the layering and faux…
