12 Days of Christmas *Day 2* DIY Advent Calendar + Giveaway!

Welcome to Day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas 2018! Today I created an Advent calendar using the Large Spellbinders Die of the Month Club and I adore the way it turned out. It has been so cloudy, dull and dreary here and I'm sorry for the photography. I feel like it doesn't do the project justice.

In today's video, I look at using up leftover 6×6 paper pads, simple die cutting and layering die cuts – all techniques which can be applied to cards if you are not into doing home decor projects.

I always arrange my Advent calendar in a random order to make searching for a special treat extra fun. I made every 5th day a special treat with room for a gift card 🙂 I love that using the same 6×6 paper pad ensures that all the colours coordinate well with each other.

The We Are Memory Keepers Happy Jig is a ton of fun! I managed to create that wired Merry Christmas sentiment in the middle of my board with ease. You can search Pinterest for additional words not found in the guide that comes with the Jig. It's easy as pie! I recommend doing multiple copies of a word when you set up the pegs so you don't have to reset them up every time you need that word.
